Brasilia/DF. The Federal Police (PF) and the National Secretariat of Public Security (Senasp), both linked to the Ministério da Justiça e Segurança Pública (MJSP), are scheduled for the fourth quarter (12/18), in Brasilia, or at the simplified joint level (ACS) for the sharing of databases and information between organs.
We propose to link the Federal Police systems to the Sinesp platform, managed by the Management and Information Integration Directorate (DGI). The objective of ACS is to support the formulation, implementation, execution, monitoring and endorsement of public policies related to public security, social defense, the prison system, the control of weapons and ammunition, the fight against drugs and criminal investigations.
Enthusiast of partnership, the director-general of the Federal Police, Andrei Rodrigues, reinforces the need to qualify or use the information. “The information that is not shared is not information. We need to make useful the information we have, and nothing is more important than making these data really useful,” he reinforced.
The National Secretary of Public Security, Mario Sarrubbo, highlights the progress that the initiative represents for the Single Public Security System (Susp). “The great challenge of suspending paper and transforming it into real tools. Here, Brazil is on a long path to public security and the Federal Police is an example of work. We are taking long steps towards integration, and this is a win very big for PF, who will have access to a huge dice base, “Just like all other public security agents, in a world without borders, this integration is essential for a society, with a more efficient and integrated public security,” he stated.
Dice bases
Cooperation will contribute to the generation of more precise diagnoses, more assertive strategic actions and a more effective response to the challenges faced in public security.
For Vanessa Fusco, director of DGI, “technology is the most powerful weapon to make processes systematic. Isolated data banks, no matter how valuable their information may be, are of no use to public security. The increase in transnational crime demands instant and targeted sharing of data, allowing information to reach what it really needs.”
Sinesp
The National Information System for Public Security, Prisons, Traceability of Weapons and Munições, Genetic Material, Digital and Drugs (Sinesp) has a technological platform for integrated information, which makes it possible to collect, integrate and analyze data on public security , make information available to subsidize public policies, promote interoperability of two data systems and production of statistics on health, victimization, deficiencies, chemical dependency and mental disorders of public security professionals, following the standards of integrity, confidentiality and reliability of two systems of the Federal Government.
