The General Audit Office of the Nation distinguished the work carried out by the Internal Audit Unit (UAI) of the organization, headed by María Estela Moreno. The event, which took place in the Fabián Benedetti Auditorium of the DNM Headquarters, recognized the work carried out by the UAI in pursuit of compliance with the quality standards established by the Argentine Institute of Standardization and Certification (IRAM); work that earned the IRAM to certify its quality management.
This achievement not only means a strengthening of the internal control of the DNM, but also the continuous improvement of the management systems and the training and growth of the personnel that make up the UAI.
The welcoming words were given by García, who highlighted that the congratulations are “for the joint work, understanding that control is a fundamental element of management, which cannot be seen as an intrusion but as a perspective that helps to improve. When audits and control work are carried out collaboratively, the only thing they do is improve the performance of system operators.”
García also stressed the importance of control organizations such as the IRAM “which with its qualification clearly marks the parameters that are desirable for a successful management function, the Sigen, which is a governing body within the control organizations and the Internal Audit of the DNM, with Estela Moreno at the head.” Finally, he summarized: “Control is necessary so that the public official knows what his limit is and that he knows that the possibility of improving management is real.”
The event continued with presentations by Edgardo De Rose, Jurisdictional Trustee, and Marcelo Cainzos, Manager of Internal Control, both from the General Audit Office of the Nation (Sigen). Meanwhile, the delivery of the diploma to the DNM was carried out by Gustavo Pontoriero, Certification Manager of the Sigen.
María Estela Moreno, as head of the Internal Audit Unit, was the one who received the distinction and closed the event by expressing her gratitude “to IRAM for all the support in this process that was very enriching; Also to García for the support he gives us so that we can move forward every day, do more things and work alongside our managers. That has to do with your real commitment to auditing. Thank you very much for letting us do and always pushing us to do more. I also want to express my gratitude to my team, who are the technicians who write the reports, do the homework and at the end of the day make the contribution to Migration management. Thanks also to the managers of the DNM and all the colleagues of the organization.”
Also present for the UAI were its Legal auditor, Marilina Vazquez Valencia, the IT auditor, Marta Del Valle Corbari, and the Accounting auditor, Romina Pizzoli, and authorities from the organization’s management team.
