Joinville/SC. In the early morning of this fifth fair, 12/12, the Federal Police apprehended 1,021 kg of cocaine on a ship docked at the port terminal of Itapoá/SC. The operation was the result of maritime patrol actions, carried out by PF. The ship, on the flag of Liberia, has Morocco as its destination.
The arrest was made after the identification of a suspected movement of a second vessel, which was transferring volumes to the interior of the ship, raising suspicions of illicit activities. These suspicions are confirmed by images of the port terminal, which capture part of the movement.
The Federal Police team carried out a thorough inspection on board the ship, which lasted more than two days due to the size of the ship, due to the drugs found. During the operation, five individuals, nationals of the Philippines and Monte Negro, were captured in flagrante.
The strangers were taken to the Joinville Delegation, where they are being accused of drug trafficking crimes.
