On the occasion of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana final between Racing and Cruzeiro, the National Immigration Directorate increased the attention posts to ensure an agile and safe flow of supporters at the Clorinda – Puerto José Falcón border crossing.
9 new service positions were enabled (5 for buses and 4 for private vehicles), increasing the total capacity to 24 positions (12 for entry and 12 for exit), and the staff of agents was reinforced with 16 additional inspectors, raising the total to 77 agents.
These actions seek to optimize immigration control 24 hours a day, to guarantee that fans can enjoy the event calmly and without delays.
During the days that the operation was deployed at the border checkpoints, 130 buses with 6,020 fans were registered that crossed through the aforementioned border crossing, 3,133 private vehicles with 11,474 passengers and 1,305 pedestrians, which totaled approximately 20 thousand people.
Likewise, about 10 thousand more fans crossed through the Posadas, Yacyretá and Iguazú passes, thus exceeding the 30 thousand Argentines who traveled to Paraguay.
