Angra dos Reis/RJ. The Federal Police, with the support of the Controladoria-Geral da União (CGU), deflagrou, in the middle of this sixth fair (12/27), to Operação Cashback, with the objective of dismantling a scheme of diversion of public resources in contracts that somam more than R$ 40 million from the Prefeitura de Paraty/RJ. These irregularities occurred since the Covid-19 pandemic, with undue payments to public agents.
Six search and arrest warrants are being carried out in the city of Paraty, issued by the Regional Eleitoral Court. Among the measures determined by Justice is the abolition of public functions, the prohibition of contracting with the public authority and the unavailability of the two investigated.
Those involved will be able to respond for eleitorai crimes, active and passive corruption, as well as fraud in bidding with superpower and management of the competition.
