Macapá/AP. On the afternoon of this third day (12/24), the Federal Police, in a joint action with the Federal Road Police, launched the Golden Frates Operation and carried out three search and arrest warrants against two criminals suspected of financing illegal gold mining activities. not state of Amapa.
The investigation began in April of this year, during combat actions carried out by the Federal Police. On occasion, indications emerged that the companies would be financing machinery for gold extraction in the São Domingos garimpo. A third individual, appointed as a partner of two partners and also a family member, is cited as a possible manager of the activities.
Thirdly, during a boarding carried out by the Federal Highway Police, the suspects were intercepted as they returned from the garimpeira region to the city of Macapá. The PRF contacted the Federal Police, which immediately began operations, carrying out searches in the residences of the investigated persons with the objective of obtaining elements that could subsidize the investigation, with the intention of collecting elements that could be confirmed or not involved in the participation of the investigated persons in the criminal act, besides seeking to understand the path that our future illegal fazia of its extraction related to its commercialization.
As the urgency continues, the Federal Police will continue to engage in combating illegal activities and activities that promote environmental and economic damage to the region.
