São Paulo/SP. As of this fifth fair (12/19), the Federal Police carried out an operation that resulted in the location and dismantling of a clandestine drug laboratory in Mogi das Cruzes/SP.
The premises were used for the manufacture of intoxicants such as the use of nitazenos, an anesthetic opioid that can be 500 times more powerful than morphine and a chemical substance with high psychotropic power, imported illegally. This was the first apprehension of citizens in Brazil with proven destinations for drug manufacturing.
During the year, large volumes of maconha, crack, nitazenos, also precursor chemical solvents, detailed notes on the production of entorpecentes, precision scales, personal protective equipment (PPE) and materials used in the manufacturing process have been learned.
Two individuals were imprisoned in flagrante delicto. We also learn vehicles, money values and other items related to the operation of the laboratory, which supplies a drug production and distribution network.
Among the non-locally manufactured drugs was a substance known as K2, or “synthetic marijuana”, composed of chemical substances that simulate the effects of THC, but with a much greater potential for dependence and serious risks to the health of two users. This is also the first time that a drug production laboratory with the addition of nitazene was discovered in Brazil, marking a significant advance in research on the use of these substances in synthetic hindering agents.
The Federal Police continues with investigations to identify others involved and dismantle possible connections of the criminal organization with national and international trafficking networks.
