Boa Vista/RR. The Federal Police deflagrate, in this second fair (12/30), operation to investigate and dismantle a criminal scheme of electoral corruption, characterized by the recruitment of electors and the purchase of votes, in the municipality of Roraídopolis/RR. Now, a search and arrest warrant was carried out in the municipality of São Luiz do Anauá. This is the 16th operation carried out by the Federal Police in Roraima only in the year 2024, with the objective of combating elective crimes.
The investigation began after the vehicle collision occurred on the state highway that connects the municipalities of São Luiz do Anauá and Roraídopolis, during the electoral period of 2024. On this occasion, vehicles were found to have materials that were supposedly used for the practice of buying votes in favor of candidate for electoral office in Roraiñopolis.
Given two indications of electoral corruption, a precautionary measure of search and seizure was authorized in order to deepen the investigations and collect evidence for the identification and criminal responsibility of its authors.
The repression of elected crimes is essential to guarantee the integrity of the democratic process. The rigorous enforcement of the Federal Police in Roraima against these crimes does not only discourage the repetition of these behaviors, but also reinforces the principle of legality and transparency of the electoral process. Com isso, PF reaffirms its commitment not to combat electoral corruption in the state, not allowing impunity of its executors.
