Strength/EC. In this quarter-final, 1/1, a joint operation between the Federal Police and the Civil Police of the State of Ceará (PCCE) resulted in failure to comply with judicial mandates intended to dismantle criminal schemes related to the municipal elections of 2024.
During the investigation, initiated by the Civil Police of Ceará, and which included the support of the PF, it was determined that the heads of a criminal organization, with financial and logistical support of others investigated, were intended to benefit specific candidates in the municipality of Santa Quitéria/CE. Among the crimes identified are direct threats, threats to residents and improper use of public resources to serve the interests of the criminal group.
The operation resulted in failure to comply with preventive detention orders, search and arrest, in addition to judicial measures such as dismissal or impediment of elective mandates of those involved, including elected candidates and municipal servants. As formal orders issued by the Regional Eleitoral Court of Ceará.
The investigation continues with an analysis of learned materials and actions to identify others involved. As security forces reinforce the commitment to justice and guarantee a transparent and legitimate electoral process.
