As part of a practice that is already common in the DNM and with the purpose of advancing the dialogue between immigration authorities and diplomatic representatives accredited in the country, a new meeting was held at Headquarters, headed by the head of the organization, Horacio GarcÃa ; Sebastián Horton, General Director of Immigration; Osmar Alza, director of International Affairs; and SofÃa Pallito, General Director of Institutional and Social Affairs.
Through breakfast and an informal chat, topics of common interest were shared, such as progress in the immigration policies that are being implemented and the requirements and proposals of foreign representations.
The event was attended by the ambassador of El Salvador, Francisco Fonseca; the consuls of the United States, Mark Leoni; from Mexico, Mariana San Martin Paz; from Armenia, Helen Arzumanian; and representing the consulate of Paraguay, Juan Alberto Guzmán. The Acting Charge d’Affaires of Syria, Mohamed Maher Mahfouz, also attended.
