Argentine citizens traveling to Mercosur countries and Associated States, that is, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Venezuela, Peru or Colombia must present their National Identity Document (DNI) or Passport. For trips to other destinations, it will be essential to have a valid passport and in some cases, a visa, in accordance with the requirements of the destination country.
For their part, foreigners who are permanent or temporary residents must present their passport or valid ID from the country of origin and proof of current residence. Those people who have a current Precarious residence must present their corresponding travel document.
For those residents who travel to countries outside of Mercosur, it is necessary to present a valid passport of their nationality, accompanied by a document that proves residence in Argentina.
On the other hand, in all cases when traveling with minors, it is necessary to obtain the corresponding authorization for their departure from the national territory, a procedure that can be carried out in more than 100 immigration offices throughout the country.
Finally, to avoid inconveniences prior to a trip, it is recommended to verify that the travel document is current, in optimal condition and corresponds to the latest version issued.
