Uruguaiana/RS. The Federal Police arrested in the middle of this second fair (12/30), in Uruguay, a man convicted for the crime of international drug trafficking, in addition to the Headquarters Operation.
According to the decision, this individual was a member of the criminal organization responsible for the transportation of 61 kg of cocaine shipped from a plane on the western border of Rio Grande do Sul in 2010.
The cocaine came from a Paraguayan international drug trafficker who ordered the shipment of tons of drugs to the Brazilian territory from within a prison in Assunção, not Paraguay.
The individual was sentenced to 7 years and 8 months in prison by the 5th Federal District of Caxias do Sul/RS. Now imprisoned, he was sent to the Uruguaiana State Modulated Penitentiary, where he will be at the disposal of justice to serve his sentence.
