Brasilia/DF. The Federal Police, jointly with the CGU, launched the second phase (18/12) of Operation Ypervoli, with the objective of investigating companies and public servants suspected of corruption and diversion of resources of the Western City prefecture/ GO.
Only 16 search and arrest warrants have been completed in the Federal District and in Goiás, issued by the Federal Regional Court of the 1st Region.
The first phase of the operation, launched in September of this year, identified elements that involve companies in various sectors not paying tips to municipal public servants, mainly in health and education works. Through the analysis of the material learned, it was identified that the same corruption scheme would be operated in the school transportation sector and in the vehicle industry.
Some two suspicious contracts were still awarded in 2017 and will continue to be extended until this year, as is not the case with a school transportation company. They received approximately R$ 117 million, but as headquarters a property that demonstrates that it is a front company. A CGU identified that quase R$ 63 million, but at the end of the value paid, would have been overpaid.
Two municipal servants, who have a high standard of living in their social networks, were served from their home, purchased for R$ 1,650,000.00, at their wedding party paid directly by companies involved in the scheme.
Or the same suspect, that he had a salary of around R$ 10 thousand, he would have made trips to Dubai, Madrid, Nova Iorque and Fernando de Noronha in less than a year.
