The head of the National Directorate of Migration, Sebastián Seoane, participated in the Regional Conference “Regulatory Harmonization and Integrated Border Management: a possible balance between mobility and security”, organized by the Eurofront program.
The event, developed on March 18 and 19 in the city of Santiago, Chile, aimed to promote immigration cooperation between the partners of the program and promote the dialogue and exchange of knowledge about integrated controls, attention on borders, rejections and expulsions of migrants in conflict with the law, among other topics.
In a scenario marked by the current dynamics of human mobility, this initiative consolidates the joint and coordinated work of a more efficient international immigration management, and constitutes an essential tool for the decision -making processes in terms of displacements.
In addition to the head of the DNM, the activity was attended by the general director of Migratory Movement, Juan Capella; representatives of security forces; and authorities of Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.
